A local pet grooming service was looking for a playful and creative brand that stood out from the rest. They wanted to incorporate a playful retro design that made the environment as playful as a standard groomer. I wanted the branding to show off the amazing personality that the staff have while creating a more cohesive brand.

One of the issues that Mane Event was facing is they were kind of all over the place with their branding so my main goal coming in was to create a cohesive idea that they can follow in all their products and services. I got the idea to play with the pun that comes in their name and give a cat a mane like a lion. Along with that initial idea, I looked at a lot of retro typefaces that inspired the blocky flow design that is shown below.
