A local coffee shop was looking for a facelift to their current branding. They were looking to make 2 of their favorite things, space and 8-bit video games. The current setting was a retro coffee arcade where they had all kinds of retro game cabinets showcasing their favorite games.

With that premise I immediately thought of the 8-bit game Galactica but thought that was too obvious. From that I thought about one of my favorite games Stardew Valley but in space and from that concept that is where I got the current design.
